...let all who take REFUGE in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy.
- Psalm 5:11

At Refuge Church we look to Jesus for faith, hope and purpose. Jesus designed the church to be a Christian's primary place of worship, community, and service. That's why we gather to live, grow and love others together as Christian family. Some of our regular gatherings are listed below, as well as our mission partners in service and ministry. Check out the calendar page for more opportunities and details.

REFUGE KIDS

During our Sunday Services, we offer Children's Church through 6th grade. Children start in-service for opening songs, have a short time with the pastor, and then depart for an age-appropriate lesson. Check-in begins Sunday at 9:45 and runs concurrent w/10am service. We also have a nursery/nursing room for parents with a live stream of the service as needed. Our three primary values are that our lessons for kids be:
  • Bible Based - we create age-appropriate lessons for all our kids.
  • Safe - your kids are important to us, so we do everything we can to keep them safe. All of our volunteers have had thorough background checks, and our check-in / check-out system is secure and monitored.
  • Fun - we do our best to show that faith in Jesus doesn't just change eternity ... it makes every day better. We do special events and activities, like our VBS, Spring Break activities and more.
We also have special Kids events like our annual Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Bible camp and more! Check the calendar or email us for more details.

At Refuge Church we are passionate about connecting and sharing in gospel living. And that's why you're reading this, right? Real life change happens when people invest in each other in a small group environment. Our goal is to see every member of Refuge Church in a community relationship, connected to others so that we all can GROW in the faith. MISSIONS & OUTREACH

We have a great commandment and commission that are coupled with compassion. Suffice to say, a percentage of our weekly giving goes to support missions and outreach. We also have a ā€œDeacon’s Fundā€ that goes to supplement support requests for members and neighbors, as well as the missions below that are dear to the heart of our congregation. Every year we review how we support local and global outreach. We also take offerings for special needs and host special events as the Spirit leads us. Currently, we support the following:

The Nourishing Network
We support bringing the good news to junior high and high school children, we also know that the ā€œBread of Lifeā€ has a heart to see their physical needs met now, loving our neighbors and especially underprivileged kids. The Nourishing Network partners with our local School District to serve as a weekend meal program for the district’s homeless and low-income families. We collect food, do drives and encourage participation.

The Al Ma'idah Initiative
The Al-Ma’idah Initiative exists to promote and facilitate friendship and conversation between the Christian and Muslim communities in Seattle and beyond. They do this by helping local churches to understand, meet and befriend their Muslim neighbors, networking Muslim students to Christian professionals, and educating Muslims and Christians on the important differences and similarities between our worldviews.

Steps of Justice
We focus first on those in need in our own area, but understand we have the means to impact things globally. Steps of Justice is a justice based organization that partners with local churches, communities, and activists to bring awareness, education and practical steps that help us engage in serving the poor and oppressed of the world. They build houses for those in need, host trips and more. We currently support efforts in Cambodia.

ACTION
Action International Ministries (ACTION) is a global mission agency committed to sending multinational workers who treasure Jesus Christ and minister His Gospel in word and deed, primarily to the poor.
